Life…

Or something like it. Told Josh I want a divorce. He thinks he can change my mind. Not gonna happen. Max is taking it hard, he has a lot of questions. Allie hasn’t talked much.
I just want it to be over, want to move on with my life. But I have to do what’s best for the kids, hard though it may be.
Maybe later I’ll make a list of all of my reasons.

Hate

I hate you, just a little, right now. Monday, there was one. Tuesday, there were two. Today, there are three.
I hate you a little more every time. Soon, I fear, the hate will overcome the love.

grr argh.

I want to consolidate all of my old blogs into one… but I don’t remember what my oldest blogspot email account was. Dammit. If it tells you anything, that was so long ago that blogger was still blogspot and it wasn’t powered by google.

House

House layout. Ish.

Hump day with a vengeance

Right now I am wanting a do-over on today.

So far, I have:
forgotten my work shirt, which means I have to keep my hoodie on all day.
Which is a problem, because I also forgot to put on deodorant.
And, just to add insult to injury, I was in the shower too long so I didn’t have time to make my lunch.
Also? I am wearing two different colored socks.

Plz send cookies.

WWKIP day

Yeah, I didn’t do much knitting in public on Saturday. I did do one row on my sock while standing in line at Wal-hell, but that was the only time I left the house all day.

A lot of knitting went on, but mostly from the comfort of my couch. I finished the first of my current plain stockinette striped socks and started it’s mate. It’s my movie/tv sock du jour, since I don’t have to look at it. I also worked on my spring forward sock some more. Turned the heel and headed down the foot.

We had waffles for dinner Saturday night and funnel cakes for dinner Sunday night. It was a very sweet weekend.

life lesson of the week:

don’t leave your children with an imbicile. it tends to end poorly, with police and cursing.

Oshu and I were invited to Holiday World with a couple of our friends. No kids, just four adults. I was sooo excited. Haven’t done anything like that since before we had Allie.

We left the kids with my sister Kate yesterday. She and youngest sister (Jennie) thought it would be a good idea to take our kids swimming, at a river, in the evening, without bothering to ask us. They also took their boyfriends (one of whom JUST GOT OFF OF HOUSE ARREST and is still wearing an ankle bracelet) and three other kids under the age of four. Did I mention that Max is allergic to mosquito bites?

Allie texted me or I wouldn’t have known about it. So I called and told them to take the kids home, Jennie got mouthy and I told her if they didn’t have my kids home in 30 minutes I was reporting them kidnapped. She just kept yelling at me about being crazy… so we called mil and she called fil, who called and asked the local police to drive by our house and make sure that the kids were there. And then mil left work- in Madison, over an hour away, to go to our house to stay with the kids until we got home.

Kate retaliated by putting a lock code on our cable so all of the cartoon channels were locked out. She also left snotty messages on our board… even Allie and Max thought she was being stupid. I took pictures but they’re at home and I’m at work- I’ll add them later if I remember.

Jennie (she of the criminal boyfriend) is uber-pissed and managed to make my mom mad at me, even though it was her mouth that caused most of the trouble anyway.

We’re discussing moving to another part of the country. :P

Kate said that they weren’t taking them swimming, just wading… but still. Poisonous snakes, poison ivy, mosquitos, slippery rocks… and if anything had happened to one of the kids the hospital would refuse to treat them until we got there three hours later. Not to mention that said wading spot is at the top of a 15 foot waterfall.

I do not fucking think so. Just thinking about it is pissing me off all over again.

Random thoughts

Now that I’m working full time again, the yarn thing has had to take a back seat. I really, really need to get some gloves, because I’ve got some yarn to dye, but this whole ‘business casual’ look doesn’t go with multi-colored fingers.

Coffee makes the world go round. Well, mine, at least.

The kids can hardly wait until school gets out. Oshu concurs, since he’s the one getting up and taking them to school every morning.

I really need to redo my blog layout… one of these days I’ll actually get around to it. (I keep saying that, don’t I.)

Sweet Libertine

I love this eyeshadow. Have I mentioned that? Well, here’s why:

This was at 8:30 this morning:

And this is at 11:30 at night, 15 hours (including a two-hour nap) later.

You can still see it, no smudges, no smears (even after a nap!). Makeup just doesn’t get better than this. Go buy some!

Oh, and no, I don’t get anything for pimpin’ Sweet Libertine, I am just so thrilled to find amazing things like this that I have to share.

Contest! Oooh, books!

My favorite author, Jill Shalvis, is part of a contest promoting upcoming books. Go check it out if you like fantastic books!
